Proportional Circle Map

http://personal.frostburg.edu/krtopping0/maps.htm
Proportional circle maps represent the measurements of data for regions by superimposing various sized circles over each section or region. In this map, the larger the circle shown is, the higher the number of people that were killed in road accidents in 2000. The legend allows the reader to associate a magnitude to the circle size. There is a different circle for each European country shown. This allows the reader to see an overview of amounts of road accident deaths in Europe. Clearly, there are less deaths on the road in northern Europe than in central Europe.
