Continuously Variable Proportional Circle Map

Continuously variable proportional circle maps are like proportional circle maps, except the values are not quantized. Rather the values are continuous, so all size circles can be included on the map. This may be more accurate than proportional circle maps because the circles represent the actual value of the data rather than just the range within which the value falls. In this old map of France, the proportions of different types of meat sent to Paris are represented for each province of France.  Each circle is also a pie chart, showing the various types of meat sent from each province.  The size of the circle represents the magnitude of anything that classifies as "meat" exported to Paris.
