Infrared Aerial Photo

Color infrared aerial photos can be very useful cartographic tools. They are photographs that show a geographical area by the infrared radiation it reflects, rather than the visual light radiation that normal photographs show. The infrared radiation is shown in color to make visualization easier, however infrared radiation is unseen to the human eye. The map above shows an infrared aerial photo of FSU's football stadium and surrounding areas. The field is black because it is made of turf, as opposed to the real grass outside the stadium, shown in red.
