Planimetric Map

A planimetric map is a map showing only the horizontal position of features on the Earth's surface. Elevation and relief of objects is left out. The map of Tallahassee above is considered planimetric because it shows only where the roads of the city are in relation to each other and how to get to a specific place (US Disctrict Court) on those roads. From this map, it is not possible to know that there is a big hill south of Tennessee Street where the star is located.
